Almond House Nursery

Web Design and Photography

A full website rebuild, with photography to be used throughout.

I was approached by the team at Almond House, a relatively new nursery in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, with a view to updating their online presence, along with that of their sister nursery Triangle House, near Sowerby Bridge.

Both nurseries already had websites of their own, but management were concerned that they didn't reflect the standard of the facilities on offer - this is where I came in to the picture.

I spent a day and a half at each nursery shooting photographs for this project, a selection of which can be seen below, to ensure we could give potential customers a truly accurate idea of what to expect from each nursery.

After spending some time looking into their competitors and discussing what design features they liked/disliked we identified the key messages they wanted the new websites to communicate and I presented them with my initial design ideas, seen below...

We went back and forth with tweaks and after a few iterations I began writing copy for an eleven page website for each nursery.

Since launch, both nurseries have seen a surge in enquiries, both through the website's contact form and via telephone, from potential customers. Both websites have risen in the Google search rankings due to SEO techniques employed during the build, which means more people find the website. Then, once found, the new design and accompanying photography give a much better first impression - resulting in more enquiries!

What this client had to say about me...

"Marc was very professional and brought some fantastic ideas to the table. Throughout the process he was always on hand to support us and welcomed any ideas we wanted to contribute to the website.

He kept us updated about the progress of the website as he was completing it and we always felt very included during the process. We were really impressed with the end result and noticed a surge in enquiries from potential customers, via the website, once it was live."
